1) Who they are and what their background is. My manager TIm. He is the current manager of Bartaco and is experienced in the restaurant business. After many talks with him, he agrees that healthy restaurants that value nutrional value in the food they serve is scarce. 2) Which 'slot' you are filling with each person (i.e., domain expert, market expert, supplier), and how the person fills the spot. Market Expert. Tim fills the spot because he is well experienced in the restaurant business and would like to start his own chain of restaurants that serve foods with high nutritional value. 3) A description of how you found the person and contacted the person. I have worked along side Tim for many months and have gotten to know him really well. WIth that said i feel that he is a reliable partner in my business idea. 4) The nature of the exchange you have with the person -- what favor did they do for you? What is the return expectation? My Ideal/prototypical customer is a college student that is currently struggling to live alone. This customer is someone who enjoys doing physical activities, like going to the gym and playing sports. This customer also spends most of the day both studying or working out. This person doesn’t have a car but uses a scooter and bike to maneuver around campus. During his leisure time he enjoys watching Netflix and some sort of sport show, maybe ESPN. This particular customer doesn’t plan on having children for a very long time and is trying to get his own life in order before he can take care and devote his to another one. His preferred literature genre is fantasy and a couple of books he enjoys reading and re-reading are the Harry Potter series. He Identifies as a Republican and has a pretty objective worldview in terms of governmental decisions. He tries to avoid watching CNN because he feels that its fake news and gets really upset in reading inaccurate and out of context news stories...

1)  Find three people who would fit that segment and arrange to interview them.  Just like last time, these interviews, if conducted properly, should take about 10-15 minutes. Any less, and you won't be able to obtain adequate information. These three people may  NOT  be the same people you interviewed last time.  3)  Begin with alternative evaluation.  In the last case exercise, you determined how customers sought information related to solving their need. The outcome of this step is to produce a set of alternatives. Customers pick from among this set of alternatives. In this step, your job is to figure out how they do their picking. Does price matter the most? Does quality? Does style? Is there more than one factor that is important to your customer segment? 4)  How/where do they buy?  Elements of the actual transaction can help characterize your segment. Is your segment more likely to buy online or in a store? Are they more lik...

14A- Paying it Forward

1) In this course I have developed a better understanding on how to time manage. Throughout the duration of this course I have conformed to treating this course as a full time class. I have watched all the lectures and have kept up to date three times a week on the lectures and the assignments.  2) My first semester at the University of Florida was a really difficult time for me. Along with struggling with a personal family issue in regards to my dad's health, my grades at the University of Florida were also plummeting due to my frequent trips down to Miami. After being dismissed and then reinstated into my college, it would have been easier to drop out and take care of my family by getting a job. Instead of taking the easier route, with my families support, I decided to remain at the university and continue my academic career. 3)   Don't give up and develop a plan that ensures success in your goal. be persistent and overcome obstacles. Think things through and...

13A- Book Reflection 1

Book Reflection: Steve Jobs What surprised you the most? What surprised me the most in this autobiography was that he practiced Buddhism and used LSD's, and he was still a very short tempered person. For someone to practice and use these calming tools, and still be short tempered, rude and an "in your face" type of guy, takes a very unique individual. What about the entrepreneur did you most admire? What I most admire about Steve Jobs is his relentless attention to detail and his confidence. Although I believe on several occasions he was over-confident, a certain level of self-belief is required to be an entrepreneur. Furthermore, Steve Jobs' insatiable desire to perfect detail, demonstrates to me a a personal attachment to his product, which I believe is paramount for any entrepreneur who is selling a product. What about the entrepreneur did you  least  admire? What I least admire about Steve Jobs has to be his childish tantrums that he ...
