9A- Testing the hypothesis 2

Who:  After interviewing a total of ten people for this assignment. I feel that I have gotten a good understanding for the wide variety of cases that can occur on terms of preparing and worrying about the bright futures scholarship. While this issue can be paramount to some students and their families who struggle financially; to others who have a stable income or who plan on attending a local community college, this issue tends to be insignificant. First Interview: The first person I interviewed told me that his father owned a pharmaceutical company and could ultimately afford tuition at all the colleges he wished to attend. Second/Third Interview: My second and third interview were with aspiring high school athletes. For these two individuals, the situations is completely different. For certain athletes, school expenses are not an issue at all. Both of them come from relatively impoverished households and can afford to attend most colleges, just based on their athletic...

8A- Solving the Problem

8A – Solving the Problem My product/service, after the law that will make Bright Futures harder to obtain, is targeted to provide high school students an effective and affordable way to study for the SAT and achieve their overall goal which is attending college. There are two ways that I feel I could approach this: 1)  Start a learning center that will provide students with the best chances of success, both on the SAT and at school. There is a reoccurring theme that due to SAT stress and attention, regular course grades tend to worsen. 2)  Approach this as a service. Appeal to both the parents and the student and create a plan that will maximize success and create a process that is both effective and encouraging. 3)  Make this idea affordable, because the whole purpose of this service is to ensure that high school students continue their academic careers. I will allow this service to be affordable and unique. Knowing that this type of service exist, I...

7A- Testing an Opportunity

1) The increasing of SAT scores in order to obtain the Florida Full-Ride scholarship.  2) Millions of high school students in the state of Florida will be affected by this drastic change to the Bright Futures Scholarship. This change will require a bigger effort from students and a higher demand for SAT teaching services. ·         The who: High School students in Florida ·         The what: The full-ride scholarship will be harder to obtain. ·         The why: Less students ae going to be able to afford college. 3) Testing the who: Will this require more high school students to seek help? ·         Testing the what: What are the ways in which high school students can improve their score on the SAT? What will they look to improve on the SAT generally? Will high school students look for more teaching centers for help? ·  ...

6A- Identifying oppurtunities

Opportunity 1 (a) https://www.gdrc.org/uem/eco-tour/envi/one.html (b) This source to me represents an opportunity to solve a major issue. Tourism is a major economic source and with the diminishing water resources, pollution and land degradation.   (c) The prototypical customers are places that rely heavily on tourism as a main source of income. (d) This opportunity is simple in theory, but will require large amounts of people and massive amounts of change to improve because of how complex environmental changes can be. e) I recognized this opportunity when I last traveled to the Caribbean. After revisiting the Island of the Bahamas, I recognized that water and scenery had lost its aesthetic beauty due to the environmental issues that have happened in the recent years.                                  ...

4A- Forming an opportunity belief

As spoken about in the lectures, I also believe that opportunities are everywhere. Every problem that an individual undergoes should be considered as an opportunity to do better and enhance efficiency. I believe that there is an opportunity in bettering the hygiene and overall conditions of public transportation. Public Transportation in South Florida, specifically Miami, is highly unkempt. The root of the issue is with the lack of maintenance that occurs in public transportation, there is an exponential growth in homeless people, the possibility of being assaulted or robbed, and the heat that makes trips incredibly uncomfortable. However, there are people that work for cities that are formulating plans to make public transportation more efficient, safer, and cleaner. This is being done by attempting to mimic the policy that are put in place in European countries. I am 100% sure that there is an opportunity here in bettering this issue that affects millions of people, in the US and a...

3A- Entrepreneurship Storty

Image
My Entrepreneurship story began quite recently. After I graduated High school, I often thought of creating my own store and fixing some 'bugs' that I experienced everyday. In the summer after I graduated high school, me and two other friends created a drop shipping online store that sold hats. This experience made me think differently, in regard to my future career. I then attended the university of Florida, in which I had to take Innovation as a major. The Innovation course allowed me to really think as an innovator, which is a mindset and a lifestyle. I learned valuable tools on how to tackle problems and provide solutions for things that most people overlook. This experience inevitably influenced me in taking ENT3003. I feel that innovation and Entrepreneurship are two things that compliment each other, and I am grateful to be presented this opportunity to further my knowledge on this lifestyle.
